Granted, there is a disparity in salaries of the various occupations. The amount of compensation is not based on value of service but rather by supply and demand. 25 children demand the service of a teacher or approximately 15 patients demand service from a nurse so the compensation from each person demanding service when totaled up is small. Millions of people demand to be entertained and are willing to pay a lot of money for it so entertainers or athletes fare more than the person providing valued service. Until people change their value systems the inequity will continue.
